We hope you are keeping well!

We are excited Lambton pool is now open for the upcoming summer season.

This season we will be helping out another local facility, The Forum, which has had to close due to urgent maintenance. The closure means they will be utilising our facility to operate its Learn to Swim and Squad programs. BlueFit Swimming will not operate for this season at Lambton so that we can accommodate these larger programs in our facilities and in turn supply vital programs to a larger portion of the Newcastle community.

We welcome and encourage our learn to swim customers to book into the Forum program at the Lambton Pool and will happily provide the Forum with your details and previous Learn to Swim level (with your permission) to make booking easier.

For those past customers that have an outstanding family credit with BlueFit Swimming due to missed lessons, we will be issuing visit passes for casual entry to our pools to accommodate these credits. Please ask at reception to receive your visit pass.

We will be running the BlueFit Swimming program at Mayfield and Wallsend on Sunday mornings to accommodate clients that prefer these locations. More information and booking dates will be provided to these customers shortly.

If you are interested in booking with The Forum Learn to Swim program at Lambton starting on Monday 12th October 2020 please email newcastle@bluefitswimming.com.au and we will help secure your place.

We look forward to welcoming you all back to Newcastle Pools!

Happy swimming from the team at Newcastle Pools.

MONDAY 17TH AUGUST 2020

We are looking forward to the re-opening of Lambton Swimming Pool on August 24th, however, we will have new safety and hygiene regulations in place:

  • Strict social distancing & hygiene measures must be adhered to.
  • We have increased our cleaning routine with our team of Hygiene Heroes rostered to ensure our facility’s hygiene remains at a high standard.
  • Throughout the centre, you will see signage and instructions on how you, members, guests and staff can maintain a COVID safe facility.
  • All staff are requested to complete the Department of Health COVID-safe training.
  • The facility is professionally cleaned every night.

By working together we can ensure we will continue to operate, we thank you in advance for your cooperation.

Please see more with the video below.

WEDNESDAY 18th march 2020

As the COVID-19 situation progresses, our priority remains the safety of our patrons and staff. With the season due to end at most of the Newcastle Pools in late April, a decision has been made to bring forward the closure of the Lambton, Mayfield, Wallsend and Stockton Pools to close of business Sunday 22nd March.

If your child is currently enrolled in the learn to swim program, a credit will be applied to your account for next season.

For those with visit passes, we are extending the expiry date of your passes by one year.

We’d like to take the time to thank our patrons & staff who have been extraordinary through this season. We hope to see you all next summer!

Stay safe.

FRIDAY 13th march 2020

Dear members & patrons,

We understand that with so much information relating to the coronavirus (COVID-19) going around in the media, you may have concerns about how the situation is being managed at the Newcastle Pools Region, as large public facilities.

Please understand that the safety, health and well-being of our customers and staff is always our top priority. Our centre continues to be a public facility and workplace that remains safe to attend.
At this point we will be remaining open during our regular hours and classes will not be impacted.
We want you to feel confident when you’re using our facilities. We have and will continue to put in place a number of proactive measures to protect customers and staff well-being:

  • Hand sanitiser available throughout the facility.
  • Thorough cleaning and sanitisation practices throughout the centre
  • Multilingual signage relating to personal hygiene in key areas.

If you are returning from any of the affected countries, you should follow the advice of the Australian Government’s Department of Health as set out on their website.
Regular updates will be placed on this website.

Latest Update: No staff or customers have been identified as having the virus. The facility remains safe to attend.

Swimming:

Chlorinated water has a long documented history of preventing the spread of viruses, however it is important to maintain good personal hygiene at all times. This includes:

  • Showering before using the facilities
  • Washing hands after using changing facilities.
Outside The Pool:

It’s important that we all practice safe hygiene practices during this time. This includes:

  • Cleaning your hands with soap and water for 20 seconds, or an alcohol-based hand rub.
  • Covering your nose and mouth when coughing and sneezing with tissue or a flexed elbow
  • Avoid close contact with anyone with cold or flu-like symptoms.
  • Practice cough etiquette (keep away from other people, cover coughs and sneezes with disposable tissues or clothing, and clean your hands.)
Respect Those Around You:

We believe our staff and the communities we service are our family and we hope that everyone continues to behave and treat each other with the respect and dignity they deserve.

What Next?

We are monitoring the situation closely, and should it be necessary to provide members with further communication, we will contact you via email, and if necessary via SMS. We also encourage casual users to visit our website regularly.

A detailed FAQ is available below. If you have any further questions please contact us via email at info@bluefit.com.au.
