New Year’s Health and Fitness Goals
After being selected for Zone Premier League Football, Jordan’s goal for the New Year is to further develop his fitness and game preparedness. Through consistent training and a focus on his overall wellbeing, he is working hard to perform at his best both on and off the field.
How Being Active Supports His Wellbeing
Staying active plays a huge role in Jordan’s wellbeing, particularly his mental health. Team sports like water polo and football provide him with a strong sense of connection, camaraderie, and purpose. Jordan also credits his Pop as his biggest motivation, having been taught to play football by him as a young child. That early influence continues to inspire his love of sport and teamwork today.
Being involved in sport also supports Jordan’s social wellbeing, fostering positive relationships built on teamwork, respect, and shared goals.
Positive Changes He Has Noticed
Jordan says staying active simply makes him happiest. For him, health and fitness are holistic, supporting his social, emotional, physical, and mental wellbeing. Regular training and involvement in sport help him stay balanced, motivated, and focused, both professionally and personally.
Advice for Others Starting Fresh This New Year
Jordan encourages anyone starting their health and fitness journey to keep it realistic and kind to themselves.
Set achievable, short term goals that prove what you can achieve. Have one long term goal to work towards, but make sure you celebrate the small wins along the way. Do not give up when things get challenging. Cherish the good things that come your way, always be kind, and most of all, do not lose touch with yourself along the journey.
Next time you are at Lambton Pool, be sure to say hello to Jordan. His passion for people, sport, and community is a big part of what makes the pool such a great place to be.
