The demolition of the old grandstand has begun, making way for a new and improved seating structure.
The previous grandstand has been serving the community of Lambton for the past 60 years! Temporary stands were previously installed for all school carnivals in January.
The works officially started on Monday 8th May, and has been timed to align with the winter closure on Sunday 28th May. This means our members and the local community should not be affected by the renovation works. The impressive new grandstand is said to have the capacity to hold 800 people. In addition to seating more, the new grandstand plans reveal that it will have accessible seating and viewing platforms available for both wheelchairs and prams.
The plans also include plenty of storage space. We cannot wait to show our members the incredible new grandstand!
