Cliff Diving champion, Rhiannan Iffland, has had a remarkable year for the Hunter United Diving Academy by winning a record fifth Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series title!
In the 2021 series, held at Polignano a Mare in Italy, Iffland needed to secure only a top-five finish to take out the championship but proceeded to win her 12th consecutive contest.
“I’m super proud,” the 30-year-old said. “I put a little bit of extra pressure on me knowing that I could take the title today. With the conditions as challenging as they were, I shouldn’t have done so, but I’m so happy, so stoked. I can breathe easily now going into the last event of the season.”
Iffland has now won the Red Bull series every year since she debuted in 2016. Fun fact, Iffland had spent her formative years training under academy coach Eric Brooker at our very own Lambton pool!
