We’re incredibly proud to announce that Newcastle Pools has been selected as a finalist across two categories in the upcoming Aquatic & Recreation Institute (ARI) Awards of Excellence:
- Social Impact Award (Newcastle Pools): Recognising our work in creating safer, more welcoming, and inclusive spaces across our facilities. By building stronger relationships with local police, Police Youth Command, community organisations, and local young people, alongside increased staff visibility and community initiatives, we’ve achieved a significant reduction in antisocial behaviour while strengthening local connections.
- Seasonal Facility of the Year (Lambton Pool): Celebrating the outstanding performance of Lambton Pool and the team behind it. Beyond welcoming hundreds of thousands of visitors each season for swim school, carnivals, and inclusive programs, this nomination highlights the work behind the scenes, from safety and operational performance upgrades to maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment every day.
This double nomination is a testament to our hardworking team, strong community partnerships, and commitment to providing safe, welcoming spaces every day.
