Take one last look at the iconic Lambton Pool waterslide before it’s replaced!
Originally installed in 2000, The 120m-long twisting waterslide is a community favourite, with many local parents having ridden down the waterslide when they were themselves, kids or teens.
City of Newcastle has progressed plans to replace the 22-year-old enclosed raft waterslide, with the project awarded to Australian Waterslides & Leisure with work to take place over Lambton’s annual winter closure.
A like-for-like replacement of the waterslide will be installed at the original site within Lambton Swimming Centre and the project will make use of the existing supporting infrastructure.
